Ford Five Hundred AUX Stereo Input (iPod, XM)

I just bought a 2005 Ford Five Hundred and am looking for ways of
transferring my iPod and XM setup.  I used to use a cassette adapter for the
iPod and a hard-wired FM modulator for my XM SkyFi unit.

I did some research and found the PIE FRD04 AUX.  Does anyone have
experience with this?

What about the adapter that lets 3 inputs go into the FRD04?

Any opinion would be appreciated.  Installing XM hard-wired into the FM port
on my Taurus ruined the AM reception.  I went without AM radio for several
years.  There are times I would have liked it (driving during bad weather,
etc.).

Thanks,

John

High idle speed: '94 T-Bird with V6 3.8L

My ’94 Thunderbird (3.8L V6) has a problem with idle speed — once the
engine is warm, and in neutral, it will idle anywhere between about 1500
rpm and 2000 rpm. Idle speed in D is normal (700-800rpm).

Any ideas what might be wrong and how to fix it? It seemed to suddenly
start doing this a while ago, although earlier, the idle speed (while in
D) was perhaps a little low (and the revs would not be steady).

'93 3.8L Cougar – again -this time loud rattle under car

Any who reads here regularly know I recently had a head gasket failure on
this car.  During repair no damage was found other than the actual gasket
failure – heads were checked, valve job performed, reassembled with fresh
coolant, oil, and filter.  Recently a rattling has started from under the
car at certain engine speeds.  It is getting louder.  It sounds like the
catalytic converter shields rattling but they are tight.  I just wrapped
them with wire to double check.  I can make the rattle by banging the
exhaust with a rubber mallet.

So, whaddya think, did the coolant leak fry the converters?  HEGO sensors
were not replaced and there are no codes.  The car runs wonderfully and has
plenty of zoom.  I can listen to the engine with a shade-tree stethoscope
(long screwdriver with wood end in my ear) and hear a smooth engine.  The
exhaust manifolds do let me hear some of the rattle but it’s far worse
outside and under the car.

Finally, anyone got a guess about what I should pay for this repair, if
indeed my diagnosis is right?  Any guidance as to urgency of repair (I
haven’t fully paid off the head gasket repair, yet.)

Thanks!

PoD
