Today I started having trouble with my gear shift (automatic)  Locking in
Park.

When I press down the brake pedal many times it will release the gear shift.

Can someone tell me if this is a sensor or an electrical part?

What is causing this to happen and what can I do fix it.

Please help – it’s driving me up the wall.

Do you have a spare that you can drive on to the shop? If you have a
discount tire near you they will patch the tire for you for free.

When I get in the car in the morning have no problem with it going in
gear but after it warms up won’t go in gear. Shifts fine when goes in
gear no slips. any advice would be great on a fix and price range I’m
looking at Thanks  

Want to know if the tube sticking out of the back of a Motorcraft 4300
carburetor (Ford 429)directly underneath the Hot Idle Compensator should
be hooked to vacuum hose or something!

Have had problems with rack leak since I bought the car… buying off-shelf
, convenience store and parts-store additives helped a little.

Finally glommed on to using Lucas PS additive, as Trans Fix worked well in
my trans…

Leaking slowed and stopped… at least no drips on ground.

That’s just my opinion, of course.
